Prenatal Yoga
Pregnancy is full of magical moments of growth and transformation, with the awakening of motherhood in our bodies, yoga helps us to access our physical, spiritual and mental strength for this journey.
Throughout pregnancy we experience many feelings and emotions… joy, fear, trust, vulnerability, love and confusion. Through yoga we are connecting with ourselves and our baby and are becoming more conscious of what we are experiencing as a human beings. Pregnancy is not an illness that needs to be treated by a doctor, or a disease that we should medicate ourselves to endure. It is a time in a woman’s life where she can call on her highest power, her woman’s intuition and let these forces guide her through the roller-coaster of body changes and emotions that arise.


Prenatal Yoga offers space and a time for reflection, relaxation and strengthening of female self-esteem and self-confidence. With the practice of yoga, a pregnant woman can gradually adjust to their new body, release physical discomforts and more-so yoga helps to slow down her pace and turn her attention to the child growing in her womb. Stimulating the establishment of contact and communication from the mother and child during this nine months helps to create harmony during the pregnancy, birth and beyond. Yoga is a system of movement and breathing for each woman as an individual, to use in preparing for a positive birth experience for her and her baby, which is truly one of the most liberating and empowering experiences of any woman’s life.
