is a five-week course introducing the key elements of the practice of Ashtanga yoga in a safe, comprehensive and fun format. Students will learn Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara), the initial standing and seated postures of the Primary Series, basic finishing sequence and go through guided meditations.
Throughout this course students can explore in more depth correct breathing technique ( Ujjayi pranayama), Dristi (focus) and Bandhas (energy locks). The teacher is able to provide individual attention to the student, who is encouraged to follow one’s own breath and eventually develop independence, confidence and discipline of the Ashtanga Mysore Style Self-Practice.
